Non-Toxic Heat Protectant for Hair

Dear Stranger,

I have been looking for a non-toxic heat protectant for years.

YEARS!

I tried going without it, but that left me with super burnt hair. Then I tried using oils (like shea butter) which worked well, but left me with a 50/50 chance of having really greasy hair. So for a few years I just stopped using heat tools entirely and learned to sleep in braids, but that involved lots of planning ahead and tossing and turning!

But I never gave up occasionally googling during all of those years!!! And it has finally paid off!

The spray I’m using is called “Yarok – Feed Your Ends.”

Ingredients: Vitamin Aqua (Water), Simmondsia Hinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed) Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Primrose) Oil, Plant-Sourced Kosher & Vegan Xanthan Gum, Plant Sourced Kosher & Vegan Potassium Sorbate; Essential Oils of: Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary), Litsea Cubeba (May Chang).

The reviews people left online mentioned that the 8 oz bottle can last for up to a year, and I’m thinking they must be right since I’ve barely made a dent in my bottle. That’s why I feel okay about the price, spending 27 dollars a year to protect my hair from heat damage is a pretty good deal in my opinion!

I’ve been using it for about two months now, and it works really well! My hair feels healthier, even though I have started using heat tools more often, which is pretty surprising. Even my husband noticed and keeps mentioning that my hair looks a lot softer.

Let me know if you try it out, I’d love to hear if it works for you!
